Thai Food Special – My Cooking Class in Chiang Mai

When in Rome, do as the Romans do…I mean, when in Thailand, what else would you do if not a cooking class?

I finally reached Chiang Mai, the perfect place to learn to make Thai food! Even though there were so many different cooking classes around Chiang Mai, we managed to find our perfect fit: a cooking class that allowed all dishes to be made vegetarian or vegan PLUS my favourite stir-fried: Pad See Ew and Jean’s new addiction: Kao Soi were in the menu too! Easy peasy.

As I’ve mentioned before, it’s been already 3 months (!!!) since my partner and I left Australia. Which means, it’s been 3 months since I’ve set foot in a kitchen… That’s crazy and it’s probably one of the things I miss the most while travelling. Needless to say, I was beyond excited to get my hands ‘dirty’ in the kitchen again.

So off we went…

Thai Food Special:

We chose to take the Full-Day class so we could make as many dishes as possible, also considering that there were two of us, each chose different dishes to make. In total, we learned to make 15 dishes (7 each + 1 special appetiser). Talk about efficiency huh?

I won’t be able to share all recipes in just one post, so I’ll share all the vegan recipes we made in a series of 5 posts. I hope you like my selection and if you have any questions or want to get the recipes for other Thai dishes, let me know in the comments!
