Valentine’s Day is upon us (again?!) and usually I don’t like to celebrate by giving gifts but I know that most people like to give a friend, lover, SO (whoever you like really) a little something. So today I’ll be sharing my favourite and obviously sustainable, ethical and cruelty free gifts for Valentine’s Day!
I think Valentine’s Day screams self-love, coz ya know, you can’t pour from an empty cups girrrrrl…so for all of you who even don’t have a lovey-dovey, you can spoil yourself with a sustainable gift to yourself.
Here are my top 10 Sustainable Valentine’s Day Gifts
- Eco Sisters Beauty Kits
Eco Sisters offer DIY clay masks, bath salts and other deliciously indulging plastic free gifts. Perfect for those who need some extra self-love.
- Soy Candles
Soy candles are pretty self-explanatory but the good thing about them is that they are less toxic, burn for longer and they are a natural, plant-based option rather than petrol based paraffin.
- An Indoor Plant for a Plant Lover
Plant lovers are always keen to add another baby to their family. Look for easy maintenance succulents or a very trendy Monstera or Fiddle Leaf Fig and hit the nail with your plant lover.
- A Second Hand Book for a Book Worm
Books are awesome…and second hand books are even cooler because you can find great books for a small price tag, meaning you can give your favourite book worm MORE books! Winning, right?
- A Cooking Class
Got a chef enthusiast at home? Or even a vegetarian/vegan on the making? Give them a cooking class (with me!) and get them cooking delicious plant-based meals for you, I mean for them…and for you (wink).
- A Beach/Picnic Towel
I don’t know about you, but for me, living on the beach, has made me really up my beach towel game. I need plenty. And I want good quality. So I’m obsessed with this extra large cotton and bamboo Turkish towels from Lalen which are made from sustainable crops and can fit you and your beach bum with plenty of space to spare.
- A The Source Gift Pack (or Voucher)
The Source Bulk Foods is one of my favourite places to shop and they offer several kits and DIY gift options to meet the demands of all sustainable loving people!
- A Gorgeous Market Bag
My lovely friend who also loves to go the farmers market makes the most gorgeous market bags and more eco-friendly gifts that are sure to impress your environmentally conscious sweetheart.
- Coffee, Coffee, Coffee
Who doesn’t need coffee? Seriously? Who? For those who can’t start their day without a good dose of high-quality coffee, I say look no further than The Laughing Pug. Fresh, organic, aromatic blends are the perfect way to wake up to.
- Have a nice Brekkie Out
Ditch the crowded dinners…and go out for breakfast instead. Even better if it’s on a sustainable cafe that serves delicious food and has sustainable practices. Did I hear yes? Check out Plastic Free Gold Coast’s Finder to score just the right café for a romantic meal.
So, what are you gifting to your loved one (or yourself) this Valentine’s Day?
Hope you enjoy this day with lots of love and gratitude!
Peace and love,
