My Essential Vegetarian Pantry

Resources

We all love having a full pantry of food. But what we also know is that when we have unhealthy items in our right there, we end up eating them before anything else.
That’s a cycle most people get caught up on when they decide to go on a diet or maintain a healthy lifestyle.

People usually struggle with those ‘what do I eat’ type of questions and when they turn to their pantries and find a 3-minute Mac n’ Cheese, it’s easy to understand why they reach out to them: they are easy, quick and they taste pretty alright for a microwaved meal.

When you don’t keep those type of items in your pantry, you refrain from eating them and you can make healthier decisions. It’s seems obvious but it’s something most people forget to do in their homes.
Once I got rid of all the unhealthy stuff in my pantry, I didn’t have a choice but to make myself something healthy and this makes all the difference in our overall health. Remember, it’s all in the details.

So I decided it was about time to share my Essential Vegetarian Pantry items. These are all the items I keep in my pantry at all times. With them, I can make most of my favourite recipes and have plenty of room to get creative too. It’s all about putting your imagination to work, but you can also browse some of my recipes to get inspired!

Buying healthy food is the first step to eating healthy food. With a little prep and creativity you can have delicious, homemade meals that will be good for you and for your pocket too!

I hope this list can guide you through the right aisles in the supermarket (or health shop) and give you some direction on what to buy to keep yourself in line when it comes to healthy eating. By starting to build a good pantry you will allow yourself to eat good food at all times and make more conscious choices instead of eating by impulse.

P.S: if you have a choice, always buy certified organic products. Although they are more expensive, it pays to have a product that is less (or not) contaminated by pesticides and herbicides.Vegetarian Pantry List
