Naturally Beautiful

Hello beautiful people!

Today, I’d like to share with you, some pretty cool things that I love to use, but not necessarily eat. I’ll explain it to you… When we start living a more conscious life, you realise that not only what you put in your mouth that will have an affect in your overall health but also what you apply to your skin. That’s why I started to be a bit more careful with the products I purchase, be it ‘beauty’ products, all the way to the products I use to clean my house (but that’s for another chat).

More than just using products that are not laced with chemicals I firmly believe that we should demand companies to make products that are not tested in animals or that contaminate our environment. If these companies don’t listen to our needs, we have to find our own ways of letting them know that we don’t want to purchase products that are harmful to our health and the planet. Good thing is, we hold the power on that. As we consume, we are also sending a message to the industry we are buying from. If we buy from companies that don’t care about the environment or their clients, then, they will only will keep on supplying us with that. On the other hand, if we require companies to offer good quality, chemical-free ingredients, no animal testing and so forth, then, we are sending our message for more humane and ethically sourced products. It’s our call 😉

Anyways, back to the amazing products that I’ve found so far…I will show my favourite brands and why I love them 🙂

  1. LUSH ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
    lush

‘Helping Hands’ – Hand moisturiser & ‘Rockstar & GodMother’ Bar soaps

Of course Lush had to be on this list! One of the biggest and best environmentally conscious brands know to the public. It has become more and more popular in the past few years as it expands its business in the best way possible. Lush offers, vegan and vegetarian products that are all handmade with natural and fresh ingredients. Lush is also a fierce activist against animal testing, sourcing ethical ingredients and helping reduce landfill. Lush offers from soaps and moisturiser to perfumes and make-up! I’ve used pretty much all their lines already: lipsticks, shower gels, shampoos, bath bombs, moisturisers…love them all and I always give Lush as a gift to my friends for X-mas, birthdays or whatever the occasion. It’s such a great (environmentally-conscious) gift and everyone loves it! 😉

  2. SANCTUM ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    sanctum

Body Spa, Shampoo & Conditioner in travel size packs

Proudly Australian, Sanctum offers amazing products which are made with more than 70% (and up to 95%) certified organic ingredients. Being very honest in their commitment in offering just the best to their customers they made sure to certify Sanctum and offer high quality products. As they quote in their website:
“We did not want to just jump on the bandwagon and be seen as another organic player in the market with some products organic and some not. Nor did we want to risk jeopardizing the standards of the products we produce as we have found that some organic products currently in the market place do not feel, smell or look like main stream skin and body care products. Some companies have one organic certified product and declare their whole range to be organic.”
I love using their travel-sized shower products so I can take them whenever I go and I know exactly what I am applying to my skin. No nasties added 😉

  3. COAST TO COAST ⭐️⭐️⭐️
    coasttocoast

Coastal Line – Cleansing Oil, Clay Mask & Lightweight Moisture Lotion

Also another Australian brand that brings the diversity of the fauna of Australia from coast to coast to their products, they offer products with only natural ingredients, no artificial colours or fragrances, no animal testing or synthetic chemicals. “Just natural ingredients that create pure products.” They found in the Australian native and indigenous plants the perfect mix they needed to bring it together with modern science and create their line of products that is divided in 3 ranges: Coastal, Rainforest & Outback. I’ve been using their lightweight lotion with Wild Rosella & Lavender and it’s amazing. Fresh, light and smells delicious. Kept my skin smooth throughout the whole winter.  Superb!

  4. AVALON ORGANICS ⭐️⭐️

    avalon

    Lemon Hand & Body Lotion

Avalon Organics also produces organic products certified with natural ingredients and I love this hand & body lotion. It smells exactly like freshly squeezed lemon, leaving my skin hydrated and moisturised. They have a comprehensive range for Body, Skin, Bath and even Baby Care. They also support much loved Care programs. Win, win!

  5. S&W BASICS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    lip balm

    Vegan Lip Balm – Cocoa

I LOVE this brand. All their products have 5 ingredients OR less (yep, that’s right)…and that’s why I completely adore them (these lip balm are the bomb!). Pretty much all their products have ingredients that I could eat, the other ones, are responsibly sourced and it’s a shame I can’t eat (joking). Anyways…this is for sure my favourite brand ever! Perfect products for your skin to glow and shine. This company is based in NY but you can buy it right here. 😉

So, here they are. My favourite brands and the reason why I love them.
You’ll notice a rating right beside their names. I took into consideration not only how sustainable and environmentally friendly these brands are but also if they: are organic, support some organisation (NGO) or offer campaigns that help our planet in some way and also their carbon footprint (be it on how they source their products, offer their packaging and if they are local or not).

I hope these little list enlightens the way you see your ‘body/skin care’ products and how you can change the way you purchase them. Remember: you have the power to choose the products that are better not only for you but for the environment.

Peace and love ??
